Latest findings from the GP Patient Survey - a huge independent poll, run by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England - ranked Lostwithiel Medical Practice as top in Cornwall and 24th in the country. Performance was measured on how easy it is to get an appointment, whether opening times are convenient, whether people trust the GP, whether the GP listens to them, whether the GP treats them with care and concern, whether receptionists are helpful, and how patients rate their overall experience. Of those surveyed, 99% said their overall experience of the practice was good, with 92% saying the experience of making an appointment was good, and 98% saying they had been treated with care and concern at their last appointment.
Rated Outstanding in Every Category

CQC's inspection of Lostwithiel Medical Practical showed outstanding patient provision. The report identified
that outcomes for patients who used services were consistently better than expected when compared with other similar services. The report stated 'We saw examples of where practice GPs had provided compassionate care following unexpected bereavements or when a simple act of kindness made a difference. GPs considered patient’s emotional and social needs as important as their physical needs.'
